Past and Present Denim Projects

KMW 2010 Straight leg:

The first raw denim I ever owned was a pair of KMW 2010 straight leg jeans. I had no idea how much these would truly change my view of jeans forever. Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to take pictures of them new to one day post on a blog so I have compiled two images of what they looked like new (seen below). Both of these are from styleforum.net so props to those guys for taking some pictures of their new denim. The top two pictures are of the jeans new, the bottom photos are my pair after three years of owning, two of which were used to 'create' the jeans.

Raleigh Denim Project:

After becoming highly addicted to my KMW jeans and focused on how to wear them to get the look I desired, I realized that they couldn't be the only pair I owned. For the next 'project' jean, I purchased a pair of Raleigh Denim. As you can see, they still have a somewhat glossy finish due to not yet being washed. They had been worn 74 times when these photos were taken.

At 214 days they got washed. This is what they now look like:

LVC (Levis Vintage Clothing) 1947:

The newest addition to my addiction of raw denim. These jeans are a reproduction of the original 1947 style of Levis 501s. They have a square waist which takes a bit more breaking in for them to fit like jeans you would buy prewashed but that also means a more custom jean. They are, of course, made in the USA in North Carolina, the same place where Raleigh Denim are made. They have a very classic look at feel which is easy to enjoy but like all selvege raw denim, take a bit of time to break in. The best part is all the small things that come with them such as a letter to the owner and unlike Levis made in China, the patch on the back is real leather as opposed to paper. Here they are brand new. They are creeping on 150 days of wear without washing and photos will be posted at such a point.
